In 2014, my 14-year old daughter was obsessed with Greek mythology thanks to a children’s book series by Rick Riorden. She begged me to take her to Greece.
Although she was profoundly unimpressed with the archaeological sites that fascinate me, she loved Nafplio, a friendly seaside town full of fun shops, lazy stray dogs, purple bougainvillea, and yummy desserts.
She tried hard to convince me to buy a house and move our family to this Aegean paradise.
